BT is currently offering the first three months free on certain Fibre and Full Fibre broadband packages. And if that isn't enough to tempt you, there's also a £50 reward card thrown in for new customers. Offers like this don't come along often at BT!
These deals are only available till Thursday 26 September 2024, so just be aware that if you dilly-dally they'll be gone and you likely won't see a similar deal for many months.
BT's Fibre 1 package feels like it's been around since the dawn of time. But honestly, it's no slouch. It delivers 50Mbps, which is fast enough to do anything you need it to do. Downloads will obviously take longer than faster packages though, obviously, and you may quickly start hitting ceilings when multiple members of your household are all trying to do things online at the same time. Still, it's available to pretty much everyone, which is more than you can say for BT's faster Full Fibre packages.
Full Fibre 100, oddly, actually offers 150Mbps. You'd think BT would have changed the name by now, since the actual speed you get has crept up steadily for a while now, and at this point it's just badly named. Anyhow, 150Mbps is more than enough for most households, but being a Full Fibre package it does mean that your chances of being able to get it where you live our significantly diminished. If you're not sure, clock the deal anyway and BT will search your postcode and tell you if you can get it or not.
Finally, we have BT's Full Fibre 500, which does actually offer 500Mbps. This is the package we can recommend to households full of gamers, since it offers very fast downloads for new games and updates, while allowing you to apportion off enough spare bandwidth to ensure the rest of the house doesn't experience a broadband drought. Like Full Fibre 150, you'll need to be sure you can get Full Fibre where you live, which you can find out by clicking the link in the deal and entering your postcode.
Here's a quick snapshot of BT's complete range so you can see where these packages sit.

---|---|---|---|
Broadband | 10Mbps | 1Mbps | £29.99 per month |
BT Fibre 1 | 50Mbps | 9.5Mbps | £30.99 per month |
Fibre Essential | 36Mbps | 9.5Mbps | £29.99 per month |
BT Fibre 2 | 67Mbps | 19Mbps | £31.99 per month |
BT Full Fibre 100 | 150Mbps | 28Mbps | £30.99 per month |
BT Full Fibre 500 | 500Mbps | 73Mbps | £39.99 per month |

And don't forget, you can compare all broadband deals available where you live using our comprehensive broadband comparison.
Every provider does a few things to differentiate itself from the rest of the provider out there. Here's a snapshot of exclusive features you'll only get from BT. Some of these features come free, while others you'll have to pay a little extra for.
All BT Broadband deals come with BT's excellent second-generation Smart Hub, the Smart Hub 2. The only possible downside with BT's router is that it doesn't come with Wi-Fi 6 (the fastest available Wi-Fi). Other than that, it's very, very good. If for some reason you do need Wi-Fi 6, they are broadly only supplied with Full Fibre packages (EE Broadband, for example), and in many cases are only supplied with the fastest speeds (Virgin Media Gig1, Vodafone Pro II packages and so on). Sky also offers a Wi-Fi 6 router with its Sky Wi-Fi Max add-on, for an extra few quid a month on top of its usual package price – well worth it in our opinion.
Finally, there are some things you should know about claiming your rewards, because BT doesn't simply dish them out automatically in some cases. Here's what you need to know.
You won't need to do anything here. You simply won't pay anything for the first three months of your new broadband contract.
Reward cards need you to take action within a certain window of time in order to claim your reward. They won't just arrive in the post or by email. If you forget, you lose it, so it's well worth committing this to memory.
