Sky Broadband

Starting today, Sky is offering up to £110 cashback to new customers across its entire range, meaning there's never been a better time to get a Sky Broadband deal. Let's take a closer look at what's on offer.

Limited-time Sky Broadband deals

These deals are only available until midnight on 21st November 2024, so if you see something you like, snap it up!

Sky Full Fibre 75

£105 gift card, free set-up, £25 per month per month

Sky's brand new 75Mbps, Full Fibre 75 package is plenty fast enough for most households. One of the things we most like about Sky Broadband – and there are many – is the sheer value it offers. 75Mbps will be enough to stream 4K video on multiple TVs, download stuff in reasonable time, and browse the internet till your heart's content. You may hit bottlenecks if you have gamers and/or perennial downloaders in the house, but other than that, Full Fibre 75 is the 'for everyone' package. The option to add on Sky Stream TV makes Sky, above all others, particularly appealing. Be aware though, if you're not in an area where the latest fibre-to-the-premises (FTTP) technology has been rolled out, Sky will only be able to provide it's slightly slower Broadband Superfast package, which delivers 61Mbps.

Sky Full Fibre 150

£105 gift card, free set-up, £27 per month per month

Hang on a moment. At 145Mbps, this deal is a lot quicker than Sky Full Fibre 75, has the same offer (£105 gift card), and it's about the same price? Yes, and probably because Sky is celebrating launching it's new range of Full Fibre packages this week. Full Fibre is a special sort of fibre broadband that uses fibre optic cabling for 100% of its network, meaning it can provide much higher speeds than 'traditional' superfast broadband. However, there's a catch – not all households can get it as the national rollout is still ongoing. If you don't know if you can get it, click on the deal and Sky will check your postcode and tell you. And if you can get it, this is our pick of the bunch.

Sky Full Fibre 500

£110 gift card, free set-up, £31 per month per month

Full Fibre 500 is Sky's second-fastest Full Fibre package. Gigafast is faster still, but both packages, unfortunately with them being Full Fibre are limited in their availability, with only around one in four homes able to get it. 500Mbps is extremely fast. To put that in perspective, streaming 4K TV is one of the most bandwidth-intensive (requiring the most speed) things the average household can do, and 500Mbps will allow you to do that simultaneously to 30 TVs. Silly. But then, all that speed can be handy if you have gamers in the house, simply because of the sheer size of downloadable games these days.

Sky Full Fibre Gigafast

£110 gift card, free set-up, £41 per month per month

This is Sky's top speed, although as a Full Fibre package, it isn't available everywhere. If you think you need broadband so fast you can download huge video games in less time than it takes to watch a YouTube review of said game then this is the one for you. For everyone else, you don't need broadband this fast. Save yourself some money and go for something slower and cheaper. If you still want too-fast broadband you'll still get that with Full Fibre 500 (above), and you'll save yourself some money. If you absolutely must have the fastest speed available though? This is the one. And the £110 gift card is very generous, too.

How do Sky Broadband packages compare?

Full Fibre Gigafast 900Mbps 100Mbps 24 months £41 per month

Pay-as-you-go landline calls

All Sky Broadband deals come with a phone line. Home landlines are less and less needed these days due to the fact we all have mobile phones, but you may still need one for a home business, or simply because it's how your household operates. Sky phone lines are pay-as-you-go as standard, meaning you pay for every call you make. However, you can specify a free anytime calls package at the checkout for a few extra quid a month, and if you're going to be using your home phone a lot for outgoing UK calls, we recommend you do exactly that.

Easy installation

Installation with Sky is simple, and often won't require an engineer to actually enter your home, unless you've been with Virgin Media for a number of years and need your phone line reconnecting. Usually, Sky will post you your router and give you a date to plug it all in, then it's simply a case of following some straightforward instructions to get you up and running. The whole process usually takes two weeks or less.
